Hammocks are the best way to relax in any size garden
Mexican hammocks made by skilled craftspeople in the Yucatan East Mexico
The secret to the comfort of Mexican hammocks is in the width of the net. Hammocks were originally designed to be used crosswise or diagonally. This is not possible with conventional European hammocks which are generally very narrow and constrictive. When lying across a real hammock your body weight is distributed over the weave providing good back support, a flatter lying position and greater comfort.
Hammocks are perfect additions to any garden. They’re stylish, contemporary, unusual and very beautiful. They are designed for blissful comfort and relaxation.
There are so many ways to hang a hammock
Before hanging it is important to position it correctly in order to achieve a reasonable arc. If the hammock is hung too taught or too slack you will not realise it's full potential. The ideal positions for the hammock handles are approximately 11ft (3.3m) apart and 6ft (1.8m) high giving the hammock a nice loose curve. Rope should be attached to the
hammock handles and the arc continued up to the fixing points
